Trusting God With Everything

"For with God, nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37

Goodmorning!!  I hope everyone had a great week lastweek. Mine was busy and hectic but I survived.  My Intermittent Fasting was great!! I stayed away from sweet tea and junk food.  And guess what folks.....I lost 5 pounds!!! I knew it was possible with God!!!  Of course, I was hoping for at least a 2 pound loss so when I stepped on the scales yesterday morning, I was over the moon with excitement!!! Yes I'm bragging, but I give God the glory because I couldn't have done it without Him. I'm so thankful!!!

God can do anything!!!! Anything is possible with God. We just need to trust Him completely and ask His will to be done.  Sometimes we think we trust God in everything, but we don't. I'm guilty of that too. I trust Him completely in my weight loss efforts, but catch myself not trusting Him completely in other life aspects.  But I'm working at that!!! Life IS tough, people!!! Satan just won't leave us alone. He is constantly lurking everywhere,  trying to keep us, as God's children, from worshipping and serving God. God is in control!! It may not seem that way to some, but He is!

Before I close, I'd like to explain something about IF'ing. It has awesome health benefits, which I've probably already mentioned. But sometimes our weight loss can be slow. Sometimes you'll lose inches more than weight. Sometimes you'll lose several pounds like I did last week and sometimes you won't. You just have to trust the process. Information on IF will say you can eat anything you want in your "eating window" but folks, if you're trying to lose alot of weight, eating junk food and other sugary food and drinks, just won't get it!! That's what I was doing. I was also feeling yucky. Now I'm feeling better and my clothes are starting to fit better.  This is my lifestyle forever!!! When I reach my goal, I'll figure out a maintenance plan with IF. I'm not dieting folks, I'm just eating healthy!!!  Intermittent Fasting is a lifestyle, not a diet. although, some people use diet plans with it, such as Low carb/high protein.  I eat normally and healthy from 12 noon-7.pm,  but just cutting out bad stuff.  I ate some peach lazyboy pie twice lastweek, but only one tablespoon, and the majority of that was a peach slice. I didn't even have to feel guilty. Well, I need to get busy so I'd better close for now. If you have any questions, just ask!!!

Have a blessed day,

Vickie

Still At It

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."  1 Corinthians 10:13

Goodmorning!! Yes, I'm still at it....Intermittent Fasting , that is!! It's been very unsuccessful up til the last 2 weeks though. I finally started losing weight again...3 lbs!! But I'm doing even better the last 2 days.  I decided to fast from sweet tea for a week. I started that Saturday. I'm also trying hard to cut out my sweets. I'm already feeling better from that, just in 2 days!  So, what I'm trying to say is,  during my eating window,  which is 12 pm to 7pm, I need to eat healthier if I'm trying to lose weight. That actually goes for any type of weight loss program or diet.  Although,  Intermittent Fasting is Not a diet, but a lifestyle.  My body is getting healthy too with IF. As I've mentioned in earlier posts, Intermittent Fasting has a lot of health benefits. Oh yeah, my sister,  Glenda,  reminded me about the sugar defeating my weight loss efforts. Thankyou,  Glenda!!

The verse above relates to overcoming temptation. I've already memorized that verse but it's my focus memory verse for this week because with all the sweets in my house, my temptations are flying high. LOL So far I'm doing great since Sat but I know temptation will still be present.  God is my HELPER!! I KNOW I CAN LOSE WEIGHT  AND INCHES.

Temptations also involve other life aspects. For awhile I was binge watching Dark Shadows. I don't believe in the Satanic ways of the show but I could tell my Spiritual life was suffering,  even though I was reading my Bible daily and praying. God woke me up!! It was hard at first,  not watching it anymore, but thankfully God removed that stronghold from my life. God is so good!!! Thank-you,  God!!

I hope you have a blessed day and have enjoyed reading this post. If you have any comments or questions, just leave a comment here or pm me.  I'm here to help and encourage.  Also, feel free to read my other posts.

Love in Christ,
