Too Cold To Do Anything, BUT that's Ok!!

         

Hello!!!!

     I am so with GRATITUDE for living in the South!! I couldn't take these brutal cold temps like the Northerners do. Y'all can have it!! I love to look at snow pictures but not the cold. I'm also grateful for our heaters and blankets and the deer chili that we will have for lunch.  I'm also thankful for the deer that our grandson, Lyrik killed. It was his first!! So proud of him!!! I'm also thankful for cardinals!! They're my favorite bird!! 

  I think there are some days, such as today,  that it's just too cold to do anything!! I even feel like my brain is in a frozen state.

      Flylady, a.k.a. Marla Cilley, has a daily habit for each month of the year. The habit for January is SHINE YOUR SINK. I don't have but a few dirty dishes in the sink, so I'll wait to wash then with lunch dishes,  then shine my sink. I need to bleach my sink soon, but just a regular cleaning will work for now. 

        I also make up our bed every morning. That is one of my personal habits. That will have to wait too because my precious granddaughter is laying in it right now.  They didn't have school today because of the winter weather. She got up real early this morning so she's napping right now. I cleaned up our house yesterday so I can be lazy without feeling guilty.  Ha!! 

        What are you doing on this extremely cold day? I hope you'll enjoy God's beauty and praise Him, for HE is so wonderful!!

My Focus Word For 2024 Is!!!

 My Focus Word For 2024 Is.....

                            GRATITUDE.                        "This is the day which the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24. KJV

        I believe the Lord wants me to focus on the word and attitude of GRATITUDE this year. I'm such a complainer and I think that displeases God. I want to be the person God created me to be and I hope you do too. I don't want to be a complainer. I want to be joyful at all times. 

        I get very agitated and ungrateful when cleaning and organizing our house and yard. I also feel overwhelmed.  Actually, I'm very thankful (gratitude) for our house and home, just not at the condition it's in. That's my fault, not God's.The Lord has touched my heart a lot lately about my attitudes. Of course, many times I haven't acted like it. Sorry, Jesus. I'm a work in progress! I want to clean our house for you,  Lord, and noone else. I use the Flylady system. She's awesome!! If you've never heard of her or tried to use her method, you need to!!!        I plan to blog about Gratitude and House/Home Cleaning and Organizing this year. I will post at least twice a week.  I will share ideas that I've learned and used. I also use other sources too. I need all the help I can get!! Ha! If you , my readers, would like to share ideas, and/or want me to blog about anything in particular,  such as Removing Stains From Clothing or Organizing The Kitchen, please DO SO!  I want to help others  through my blog, but I very seldom get comments. I don't know if I'm helping, if I don't hear from you!!! 

     I'm extremely grateful for my Mama, Sylvia Carpenter,  for teaching me how to take care of my home, when I was growing up. Mama, you probably didn't think I was listening, watching, or paying attention, but I was!! I did the same for my children. Again,  THANKYOU, Mama!!   But I realize some people didn't have that , growing up,  and I want to help you. If you were fortunate to have that though, feel free to share. We can all learn from each other!! 

     Well, one of Flylady's first chores are , SHINE YOUR SINK!! I can't do that with dirty dishes, so I'm about to get dressed and get busy with that!! Yeah, these freezing mornings slow me down. Ugh

      Oh yeah, before I close, I want to add that I'm planning to start creating a Gratitude Journal.  Crafting is one of my passions so I'll be crafty and thankful at the same time! Can't beat that! Ha!!

God Is My Strength

 

Goodmorning and Happy New Year, 4 days late!! I hope your year has started out great!  Mine has been very hectic but God is my strength, so I WILL persevere!! Some days I feel like I'm drowning. But, thankfully God is my lifeguard. So, even though I may feel like I'm drowning,  God won't let me, because I'm HIS child. Satan is at play with my family and I, during this time, which it appears that he is at play with our whole country. Have faith!! God's grace, strength, and so much more is what keeps me going. I admit that sometimes I just want to throw in the towel, but I'm not!  I'm not going to tell what our storm or giant is. God knows and He is bigger than our storm! If the guilty ones read this post, just know that God is working on YOU daily, that many are praying for you, and that even though we hate what you've done, and may still be doing, we are all still hurting and praying for you. 

      I've had many heartaches through the years, but what we're going through now, is the worst. I feel like my heart has been shattered in pieces. I'm constantly having to let go of anger in my heart towards certain people.  But I'm praying for the ones responsible and for the pain the rest of us are carrying around. The guilty just don't realize or care, that their actions affect the whole family and close friends. I'm also so thankful for your help, encouragement and prayers!! God sends you our way daily!! Well, I'm gonna close for now because I have tons of work to do, as I'm sure you do too. Keep the FAITH too!!
