Trusting God With Everything

"For with God, nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37

Goodmorning!!  I hope everyone had a great week lastweek. Mine was busy and hectic but I survived.  My Intermittent Fasting was great!! I stayed away from sweet tea and junk food.  And guess what folks.....I lost 5 pounds!!! I knew it was possible with God!!!  Of course, I was hoping for at least a 2 pound loss so when I stepped on the scales yesterday morning, I was over the moon with excitement!!! Yes I'm bragging, but I give God the glory because I couldn't have done it without Him. I'm so thankful!!!

God can do anything!!!! Anything is possible with God. We just need to trust Him completely and ask His will to be done.  Sometimes we think we trust God in everything, but we don't. I'm guilty of that too. I trust Him completely in my weight loss efforts, but catch myself not trusting Him completely in other life aspects.  But I'm working at that!!! Life IS tough, people!!! Satan just won't leave us alone. He is constantly lurking everywhere,  trying to keep us, as God's children, from worshipping and serving God. God is in control!! It may not seem that way to some, but He is!

Before I close, I'd like to explain something about IF'ing. It has awesome health benefits, which I've probably already mentioned. But sometimes our weight loss can be slow. Sometimes you'll lose inches more than weight. Sometimes you'll lose several pounds like I did last week and sometimes you won't. You just have to trust the process. Information on IF will say you can eat anything you want in your "eating window" but folks, if you're trying to lose alot of weight, eating junk food and other sugary food and drinks, just won't get it!! That's what I was doing. I was also feeling yucky. Now I'm feeling better and my clothes are starting to fit better.  This is my lifestyle forever!!! When I reach my goal, I'll figure out a maintenance plan with IF. I'm not dieting folks, I'm just eating healthy!!!  Intermittent Fasting is a lifestyle, not a diet. although, some people use diet plans with it, such as Low carb/high protein.  I eat normally and healthy from 12 noon-7.pm,  but just cutting out bad stuff.  I ate some peach lazyboy pie twice lastweek, but only one tablespoon, and the majority of that was a peach slice. I didn't even have to feel guilty. Well, I need to get busy so I'd better close for now. If you have any questions, just ask!!!

Have a blessed day,

Vickie

Still At It

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."  1 Corinthians 10:13

Goodmorning!! Yes, I'm still at it....Intermittent Fasting , that is!! It's been very unsuccessful up til the last 2 weeks though. I finally started losing weight again...3 lbs!! But I'm doing even better the last 2 days.  I decided to fast from sweet tea for a week. I started that Saturday. I'm also trying hard to cut out my sweets. I'm already feeling better from that, just in 2 days!  So, what I'm trying to say is,  during my eating window,  which is 12 pm to 7pm, I need to eat healthier if I'm trying to lose weight. That actually goes for any type of weight loss program or diet.  Although,  Intermittent Fasting is Not a diet, but a lifestyle.  My body is getting healthy too with IF. As I've mentioned in earlier posts, Intermittent Fasting has a lot of health benefits. Oh yeah, my sister,  Glenda,  reminded me about the sugar defeating my weight loss efforts. Thankyou,  Glenda!!

The verse above relates to overcoming temptation. I've already memorized that verse but it's my focus memory verse for this week because with all the sweets in my house, my temptations are flying high. LOL So far I'm doing great since Sat but I know temptation will still be present.  God is my HELPER!! I KNOW I CAN LOSE WEIGHT  AND INCHES.

Temptations also involve other life aspects. For awhile I was binge watching Dark Shadows. I don't believe in the Satanic ways of the show but I could tell my Spiritual life was suffering,  even though I was reading my Bible daily and praying. God woke me up!! It was hard at first,  not watching it anymore, but thankfully God removed that stronghold from my life. God is so good!!! Thank-you,  God!!

I hope you have a blessed day and have enjoyed reading this post. If you have any comments or questions, just leave a comment here or pm me.  I'm here to help and encourage.  Also, feel free to read my other posts.

Love in Christ,

Black Coffee Just Isn't My Cup of Tea

Goodmorning!! Did that title grab your attention? Ha! Well, I started my IF (Intermittent Lifestyle) just like I said I would. I drank my coffee black yesterday BUT it was yucky!!!!! It's just not my cup of tea, coffee actually.  Ha! I actually used to drink it black but never enjoyed it. But I love coffee too much to ditch it.  SOoooooo, I'll just change up my system tomorrow. I will start drinking a cup of  green tea in the morning, while I'm in my Fasting Window (7 pm to 11-12:00 the next day). I will drink my coffee, with creamer, after lunch, during my Eating Window.  My creamer has alittle sugar but not as much as all the sweet tea I drink at lunch. Tea isn't bad for us, but all that sugar is. This will help me in that area too. Not only do I want and need to lose weight, but I want to be healthy for the Lord.

I'm trying to dejunk my body of toxins. I also need to continue dejunking my life and house. That's a continuous work in progress,  but I'm trying.  I confess....I've been procrastinating this lately. I haven't been lazy. I've been doing other stuff, but still putting off dejunking the back bedroom. That's my first room to tackle. So, please pray that I'll get it done SOON!! I know I'll be happier after it's done. We have some gardening to do this morning so, I'll start as soon as possible. I need to remember....JUST DO IT!!

HAVE A BLESSED DAY EVERYONE!! MAY GOD BLESS YOU!!

Let Go of Uncleanness!!

"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." Psalms 51:7

Letting Go

I am starting a series on Housecleaning. That's not a fun topic, I know. But as Christians, God wants us to be clean and orderly.  "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you. Which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6:19  We can't be a temple if we're dirty. I believe that goes for our whole lives, not just our bodies.  God wants our lives to be balanced.  I've touched on that in past blog posts.

I will try to post as much as possible! I know I've said that countless of times, but I'm serious this time. I've laid my procrastination habits at Jesus' feet. I believe He has called me to blog, to encourage others. I want to obey God in all that I do.

I'm gonna write about Dejunking and Cleaning our bodies,  our minds, and our homes. Yeah, my life is a mess. BUT, I'm gonna be obedient to God.

I'll start today by Dejunking my body. I am NOW starting back on my Intermittent Fasting lifestyle. It has many benefits. I need to remove inflammation, impurities,  and fat from my body so I can be healthy again. I also have posts related to Intermittent Fasting. Just go to my archived posts to read them. I put creamer in my coffee this morning,  but will start back tomorrow morning without creamer. Some IF experts say you can add creamer,  and some don't. I believe it's keeping me from losing weight plus I have less energy and get real  hungry during my Fasting window, so I'm gonna stop using the creamer. I'll write something each day this week and next week about Dejunking our bodies, spiritually and physically. Then will write about Dejunking our minds, then our homes.  I don't think we can work efficiently in our homes if we are unhealthy in the other areas of our homes. Although,  I'm a work in progress, I'm gonna start dejunking/cleaning our back bedroom slowly.

If you have any questions or comments,  please feel free to do so. I would love to read and reply to them. As I said,  I want to encourage y'all.

I hope y'all have a blessed day!! Let Go of Uncleanness!!!

What Is A Mother

                     What Is A Mother?

Today is Mother's Day, May 14, 2023, and I sit here across the living room from my dear,  sweet , and very beautiful mother,  Sylvia Carpenter. I have had and continue having the wonderful privilege of spending time with her in the hospital (last month) and also at their home, helping out. I think about what an awesome mother (Mama) she is and all week I've thought about qualities of a mother.  Here's some that I thought of when thinking about Mama. They are...        M- Motivator.                                                    O-  Organizer.                                                  T-  Teacher.                                                        H- Helper.                                                          E- Encourager.                                                  R- Reader

There are many more such as loving, supportive, patient, forgiving, protective,  caring,  loyal, extraordinary, humorous, and very wise and dedicated Christian lady!! I could go on and on.  I, along with my sister and 2 brothers, are extremely blessed to still have our mother to spend time with.  I am cherishing every moment I spend with her and so thankful that I'm in a season of my life that I'm able to help out.

Mama has taught me so much about life. She taught me how to be a good wife and mother, which helped me teach my children to be as well.

Well, I need to close now. Mama, I love you forever and ever!! Again, Happy Mother's Day!!

God's Love

God's Love

"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him." 1 John 4:16

"We love him, because he first loved us." 1 John 4:19

I apologize for the delay in blog posts, again. I've had so much going on and just couldn't figure out what to write. But recently I have felt God leading me to get back to it.

Last week, while out walking, I saw this heart shape (in picture above) in our driveway.  As I was walking,  I was praying for God's guidance in organizing my craft supplies.  For the non-crafters...it's a very big job! Especially for me! Some of you may think it's crazy to pray for something like that. I don't think so!! When I saw the heart, I thought I imagined it at first,  but after taking a couple steps,  I turned around and looked at it again. I believe that Jesus was showing me that HE loved me and cared about my organizing venture. I believed Him before I saw it but it sure made me feel great. God never stops loving me or you. God may not answer our prayers as soon as we pray them, but He does answer. It may not be what we want, but God knows what's best for us. Afterall, He made us!!! BTW,the heart was still there the next day. I looked yesterday but couldn't see it, but thankfully God's love doesn't go away!!

I have continued to work in our kitchen as I wait on the Lord since that's where I share my craft space.  I don't have a lot of space though. My biggest issue so far has been a safe storage container for my new craft tool. I've looked in stores and online but no answers but still praying. Then day before yesterday,  I was sitting on my couch and it was like a "light bulb moment " happening. God placed the idea of the storage container (plastic drawers) in my bedroom being my answer!! A close friend gave it to me a year or so ago. I've been putting my cardstock in the deep drawer (now to find storage solution for cardstock). I put my tool in and it's a perfect fit!! Not that I doubted it. Just as I believe that God will continue to help me organize my craft supplies as well as my house. Yup, it's SPRINGCLEANING time again!!! Don't you just love this time of year?

I still read organization articles and watch videos for ideas but I depend on my Lord for His ultimate guidance.  I'm not doing as much as I'd planned to today due to having some sciatica issues. I'm working, but doing it slowly. The last time it reared its ugly head, I could barely walk. Ended up at doctor's office.  So, I'm taking Aleve and trying to do work sitting down today. God's ways are always the best ways!! The job is lasting longer than I wanted but I'm actually enjoying it.

I'll close for now, and work some more. I'll try to post more now. Ya'll  have a great day!!

I'm Looking For A New Laptop or Tablet!!!

Hello Everyone!  I apologize for delay in writing another blog post. The tablet that I usually use for writing my blog posts decided to quit working lastweek. I'm able to post on my phone  which Im doing now,  but it's harder because it's such a smaller screen. I will do my best til I get a new tablet or laptop. I feel God leading me to write more so I need one that has a good word processor.  I thought I knew what I wanted. In fact,  I was about to order it lastnight.  But just didn't feel peaceful about it so I didn't. I believe God was speaking to me. I've been praying for the right one and I believe God will lead me to it. But I'll be looking in the meantime!

I started my Bible study in James this week. It's been really good so far. I have been working on James 1:1-18.  We are to be joyful in trials, such as being minus a tablet.  Yeah, that's very hard but if we make Jesus 1st place in our hearts 24/7, we will receive joy. We are also to believe when we pray.  No doubting!! BELIEVE!!  It does make a difference!!!

My timing is different from God's timing.  I want my new electronic device NOW.  But God knows the best time. I just have to be joyful, believing,  and patient. GOD WILL DELIVER! It's made me even more grateful for my phone!!

My plans for blogging about Spiritual,  Physical,  Mental,  and Emotional Issues are uncertain right now. Seems like I'm continually getting disruptions in life and can't stay on schedule.  But I'm trying!  I'm also trying to get more organized in all areas of my life. If you, my readers, have any ideas on what you want me to write about, such as house organizing ideas, please either leave a comment here or pm me. Well, I'm gonna close for now and read some. Have a super day!! Love ya!!!
