Such A Dreary But Yet Joyful Day!!!

Today , here in my southwest Miss corner, I look outside and frown from all the dreary weather. And more on the way!!!  But I don't stay in that frame of mind.  I got busy and joyful!!  I've been crafting this morning, trying an experiment with the photo paper that my cousin, Fay, gave me. I love paper crafts so I made some greeting card fronts today. My grandchildren, Carly and Jr, helped me make this Monday. So today, I've made more. Wouldn't you just know it....I love paper crafts (paper flowers, magnets, gift tags,  and greeting cards) and my Daddy is a retired (42 years) paper maker!! Fitting...right?!!!! Lol. I even worked at the paper mill one summer during my college years. I just used photo paper , distressed ink, water, and water.the  So much fun!!!

Worrying Is Like A Rocking Chair...."

A long time ago, I woke up one night from a nightmare. It upset me so much that I couldn't go back to sleep.  I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law at the time. I guess she heard me tossing and turning. I don't remember what the nightmare was about though.
After I probably told her what I dreamed, she could tell I was very worried.  She then told me something that has stayed with me since.....that WORRYING IS LIKE A ROCKING CHAIR. IT GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO DO BUT DOESN'T GET YOU ANYWHERE. It makes a lot of sense too!!! I've shared this advice with others through the years.

There's another gem of advice that I'd like to share.  It's even better than the first. It comes from Scripture... "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.". Philippe 4:6 KJV
I believe this is talking about Not Worrying. To me, worrying means we don't trust God in situations. I quit worrying and went back to sleep that night but I've caught myself worrying many times in the past.

I then remember this verse and stop fretting. I also feel like our faith helps keeping us from worrying. This past year of 2020 has been awful but I am thankful because my faith in God has grown.

My dear husband, Bubba, had to have a procedure done on his left leg last month. Thankfully, his problem (blocked artery) didn't require surgery!!!  Plus, because of Covid-19, I wasn't allowed to be up there with him. But throughout the whole orderal, I never worried because I had complete faith in God!!! Yeah, things could have gone bad, But I still would have kept my faith!! I did pray along with others and for that I'm very grateful.

I believe my faith grew from daily Bible study and prayer, and through my trials. I hope you, my readers, will pray and trust (have faith) God  instead of worrying this year and every year!!

I apologize for not writing recently. I have been very busy!!  I will try to do better!!

Happy New Year!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉💖💖💖💖💖

Consider The Ant

Consider The Ant (Homeschooling and Intermittent Fasting)

Bible Verse: "To to the ant, thou sluggwrd; consider her ways, and be wise." Proverbs 6:6 (KJV)

I believe this verse tells me to study and be wise in all of my endeavors, such as helping teach my granddaughter (homeschooling), Bible Study, Intermittent Fasting, crafting, and home organization. I believe I already do this but I will try to study more. If we are unprepared we will not do a very good job at our task. We will feel  very unorganized and I hate that feeling when I experience it. It's also not fair to others who are involved and is a time waster.

An update on my Intermittent Fasting....I have lost 24 pounds since February 3rd(2020) and many inches!!! I know this sounds like bragging. Ok Ok maybe I am!! 😂I feel great!!  Well, except for today. My sinuses and ears are giving me fits. If you ask me how I've done it, I say THROUGH THE GRACE OF GOD!!  I mean every word of that too. God led me to IF but has and continues to lead me every day.  Once you get used to it, it's not hard, but I still trust God daily. Without Him, I could not have lost 24 pounds!! I've lost 14 of those 24 pounds since July. I really enjoy my daily walks. Of course, today is out, but  praying that I'll be ok tomorrow, so I can walk.

A note about my blog writing absence....I have been busy plus I haven't felt led to write lately. I will try to do better. I will close now. If you have any questions or comments, please do so!!! Have a blessed day!!!

My Source of Water!!!!

My Source of Water!!!

Verse of the Day: "Jesus answered and said into her, 'Whosever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. '" John 4 :13-14KJV

I'm so thankful that Jesus is my SOURCE of WATER!!! On July 1, 1969, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior!!!  I drank of the LIVING WATER...ETERNAL LIFE WITH JESUS!!!   That was the best decision in my life!! Thank you , Jesus!!!!
I took a sip of my big container of Water a few minutes ago , but as I was doing so, I felt Jesus speak to me, to write about better water...His Water of life!!! I'm so thankful for my faith in the Living Water...Jesus!!! Awhile back our water well pump went out which left us with no flowing water. Sure we had some jugs of water to get us by over the weekend while Josh helped his daddy (Bubba) fix the well. That was VERY aggravating to say the least. It made me thankful for our water and even more thankful for my LIVING WATER SOURCE!!  God gets our attention in many ways. Evidently I wasn't being thankful enough. I am so more thankful now!!!
As I've been loving my Intermittent Fasting lifestyle, I've been drinking more water. But now when I drink it, I'm more thankful for it, especially my LIVING WATER!!!
I weighed in this morning but no loss. No gain either!! I was weighing in on Monday morning because that was when my weight loss/Bible study group met on Zoom meetings. We are changing our times to Sunday afternoon since one of our members are starting back to work.I'm trying to not be discouraged from lack of loss but I've been progressing really well, especially with NSV (Non Scale Victories)!!! I've also been set back with foot pain. I think my plantar fasciitis is acting up. So, I'm resting a couple of days!! My dear hubby thinks I've been over-pushing myself with my walking. He's probably right. LOL I'll try not to push myself so hard from now on.
As I close today's writing (I wasn't led to write yesterday) , I hope you've asked Jesus to be your Source of Water!!!!  If not, it's not too late to do so.  One day it will be too late, so don't put it off !!!  Have a blessed Sabbath!!
Love yall!!!

I Can Do All Things Through Christ!! (Homeschool)

I Can Do All Things!!!

Verse of the Day: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
                                                                                        Philippians 4:13  KJV

While walking, I felt God speak to me on what to post. I'm waiting each day for inspiration from the Holy Spirit, for blog post writing. Sometimes HE speaks early , sometimes not. I'm going to be helping my daughter homeschool her 2 children this year. I'm really looking forward to it. I homeschooled Deanna and Joshua, and then Lyrik and Blaise. I was led and strengthened by Christ then and now. No matter how much experience and knowledge that I have, I still can't do it without Christ. If you're starting out new at homeschooling, just trust Christ and let him lead you with your curriculum searches, planning, and anything else related. If you want or need for me to write  a devotional on a certain idea, that's related to homeschooling, such as fear, please comment or pm me. I would love to do it. I've been in your shoes. In a way I am now since I haven't taught a lot since Deanna and Joshua were in school. But I loved it then and still do. We have sweet memories of our homeschooling days!!! So, pray, read articles, and watch home schooling  videos. Also, if you know someone who has homeschooled, ask them questions. I'm sure they'll be happy to help. I'll be glad to help too!!  Hope y'all have a super day!!
Love in Christ,
Vickie

Jesus Is My First Priority!!!!

Jesus Is My First Priority!!!!

Verse For The Day: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added into you." Matthew 6 :33 KJV

Hello everyone!! I hope y'all are having a wonderful day. I am!!! I wasn't able to post yesterday because my daughter and grandchildren were visiting, plus I was busy. We had a wonderful time!!!! Family time is a time to make sweet memories. I treasure these times even when I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I thank God for my whole family!!! I love my family dearly but I love Jesus more than anyone or anything always and forever!!!!
I've been intermittent fasting for several weeks now. I've lost 5.5 lbs and my clothes are already getting loose.  I walk and exercise 5-6 times a week!! But I couldn't be successful if I didn't put Jesus in control of it!!! It's always worked but I believe that I'm being more successful this time because I've put Jesus in control!
I have another example!!! Many years ago I homeschooled  my children. I prayed really hard about it and continued praying all through the process. If I hadn't put Jesus first, it wouldn't have been successful. I also don't think we would have enjoyed it as much. So, ARE you putting Jesus your first priority? I sure hope so!!!  I hope y'all have a great day!! May God Bless!!!

I Just Gotta Quit Complaining!!!

I Just Gotta Quit Complaining!!!

Verse For The Day: "Do all things without murmurings and disputings." Philippians 2 :14  KJV

Goodmorning!! My daily problems give me excuses to complain constantly. Yeah...bad old habit...COMPLAINING!!!  But as I'm asking God to renew my thoughts daily, and by the hours, minutes, and seconds, I'm asking for Him to help me get rid of my habit, or better , my unGodly stronghold, of complaining. I am also asking to be rid of my selfishness. God knows what is best for me, and you, so if He doesn't think I need something, why should I? Selfishness and complaining just aren't fun when I think about it. No joy whatsoever!!! I can only find joy by serving God and always putting Him first. In my present Bible study of Philippians, I am reminded of what JOY can spell out....J for Jesus, O for Others, and Y for Yourself!!! My mama's Sunday School class's name is JOY.  I believe that's when I learned the acronym. 😃  So many times Satan fills my mind with complaining and selfish thoughts and unfortunately, I listen. Grrrr. I really wish Satan would leave me alone. I want no part of him!!!
Soooo, are you complaining? I hope not!! I'm striving to STOP my stronghold with God's help!! You can too!!
I hope y'all have a wonderful day!! The sun may not be shining in your area but God's SON is ALWAYS shining!!! Love you all!!!
